DoT allocates MSC Codes to Reliance Jio for UP West

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) today granted Reliance Jio a fresh set of MSC codes for Uttar Pradesh West telecom circle. The allocation from DoT comes after the telecom service provider requested DoT for allocation of MSC codes.

DoT has offered Reliance Jio ACCESS-MSC codes to meet the demand of one million subscribers in each telecom circle.

The numbering series allocated to Reliance Jio was earlier held by Reliance Communications/Reliance Telecom. Reliance Jio can use the aforementioned series except for the active numbers of Reliance Communications/Reliance Telecom and other port out subscribers.

“In consideration to the request of M/s Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd for allocation of MSC cods to convey the allotment of MSC codes. Aforementioned Series may be used by TSP except for port out subscribers (if any) of M/s TTSL,” said DoT in a circular. CT Bureau
