Assam cabinet extends incentives to Tata semiconductor unit

The Assam cabinet has approved the extension of all incentives applicable under the Assam Semiconductor Policy 2023 to Tata Semiconductor Assembly and Test (TSAT), a unit of the Tata Group.

The decision comes following the approval of the semiconductor unit in Assam by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India.

By extending incentives under the Assam Semiconductor Policy 2023 to TSAT, the government aims to promote semiconductor manufacturing in Assam.

Additionally, the cabinet has authorised the Industries, Commerce, and Public Enterprises Department to oversee the disbursement of payments in accordance with the eligibility criteria outlined in the policy. Guwahati Plus
