Nokia To Develop Singapore’s First 5G Network

SP Telecom is providing its existing fibre network for integration with Nokia’s new FP4-based service router, optical transport, cloud software solutions, service automation and network orchestration application suite.

The network is expected to be operational in 2020 to enable fixed and 5G carriers to deploy cloud-based virtual private network and 5G offerings for the government and enterprise customers.

The two have also launched an Innovation Hub and Innovation Lab for customers to experience and test the new intelligent data fibre network.
