Redmi Note 6 Launch Imminent; Xiaomi Announces New Product Launch Event on November 6

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6, as the name suggests, will be the successor to the popular Redmi Note 5 Pro.

Xiaomi has taken to its Mall app to announce a product launch event in China on November 6. It is speculated that the Chinese manufacturer could be gearing up to introduce the much-rumored Redmi Note 6 smartphone on that day.

The poster shared by Xiaomi reveals the launch date, and 2:00PM time for the event. The large-sized Chinese text on the poster translates to “wonderful upgrade”. Rumors are rife that the company may announce the Redmi Note 6 at the event ahead of China’s 11/11 Singles Day shopping festival.

After announcing the Redmi Note 5 Pro in India this year, the same phone was launched as Redmi Note 5 in China. In September, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 6 Pro in Thailand, which is yet to arrive in other major markets. If we were to hazard a guess, this device is likely to launch as the Redmi Note 6 in Xiaomi’s home country.

Recently, a promotional image of the smartphone was spotted on Weibo with the same moniker. It shows that the phone will be equipped with four AI driven cameras, which includes 20-megapixel + 2-megapixel front-facing cameras.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 specifications, features

In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 is not very different from its predecessor since it features the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, and 4,000mAh battery. Instead of 18:9 display though, the Redmi Note 6 will feature a 6.26-inch notched screen. The back panel of the smartphone features a combination of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. The rear design is also almost same as the Redmi Note 5.

The handset is expected to be available in black, blue, red, and Rose Gold colors. Buyers are likely to be given an option to choose from multiple variants including 32GB storage+3GB RAM, 64GB storage+4GB RAM, and 64GB storage+6GB RAM. – BGR
