Hong Kong kicks off spectrum sale, first day bids totalling HKD1.4bn

The Communications Authority continued today (26 October 2021) the bidding stage of the auction of radio spectrum in the 600 MHz,

700 MHz, 850 MHz, 2.5/2.6 GHz and 4.9 GHz bands. 11 rounds of bidding were conducted today. After a total of 20 rounds of bidding

held on the first two days, the total sum of the highest bids of the spectrum utilization fees for the frequency blocks is HK$1.754

billion.

The bidding stage will continue tomorrow (27 October 2021).
