6th National Preparatory Workshop for WRC-23 being held in the Capital

The 6th National Preparatory Workshop for WRC-23 is being held in the Capital, July 13-14, 2023 at the Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi. The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) has extended an invitation to administrations to provide contributions on various agenda items of WRC-23 and issues related to RA-23, if any. These contributions will aid in finalizing the preliminary APT Common Proposals (PACPs).

This workshop has been planned to discuss these contributions and arrive at a consensus industry draft for submission to the Indian Administration. This workshop will also focus on an overview of WRC-23 preparatory activities, and satellite services at WRC-23, along with the future agenda items for WRC-27. Today’s agenda is satellite spectrum issues and spectrum for 6G. Tomorrow the focus will be on terrestrial spectrum including 5G and Wi-Fi.

ITU-APT Foundation of India (IAFI) is hosting the event. Bharat B (BB) Bhatia is the President at IAFI.

WRC-23 (APG-6) is scheduled to be held in Brisbane, Australia, from August 14-19, 2023.
