BSNL employees and retirees demand new pay scales

he members of All Unions and Associations of BSNL (AUAB), including the leaders from local units of NFTE BSNL, BSNLEU, SNEA, AIQETOA, SEWA and others staged a protest at BSNL office in Ongole on Tuesday.

The leaders of BNSL employees and retirees demanded the government immediate replacement of E1A pay scale with E2 pay scale, and E2A pay scale with E3 pay scale calculated from January 1, 2007, without cascading effect on other pay scales. They want the government to extend 30 per cent superannuation benefits contribution for BSNL recruited employees, as per the 2nd PRC recommendations, and immediate depositing of the balance contribution by updating the SAB pension fund.

They also demanded the BSNL to conduct a Limited Internal Competitive Exam (LICE) for JTOs and other non-executives as per the vacancies by January 31, 2020, and lift the ban on compassionate ground appointments immediately. They also demanded the filling of SC ST backlog posts without delay and fulfilling all pending promises made to the AUAB in the meeting held on October 27, 2021.
