WWDC 2023: Apple likely to launch mixed reality headset

On June 5, at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), the company is rumored to unveil a number of significant updates to the Apple ecosystem. Apple, Inc., based in Cupertino, California, may use the event to introduce a new 15-inch MacBook Air, new versions of iOS and macOS, and other software and hardware.

Monday, June 5th, is when this year’s main WWDC keynote will be presented. Apple CEO Tim Cook is expected to give the opening keynote address at WWDC, which will be held both online and at Apple Park in Cupertino, California.

Apple’s website and YouTube channel will both provide live streams of the WWDC keynote. If you are unable to watch the keynote presentation live, don’t worry; it will be archived on YouTube shortly after it airs. Even though the company hasn’t officially confirmed the existence of the mixed reality headset, rumors suggest it will be able to provide both virtual realities (VR) and augmented reality (AR) experiences. Bloomberg claims that the headset would have both external sensors to track the user’s hands and internal sensors to follow their gaze.

Safari, Apple TV, FaceTime, Freeform, and Apple Books are presumably more are among the native apps that Apple is reportedly hard at work adapting for virtual reality. Apple is rumored to release a 15-inch variant of the MacBook Air, which will replace the current 13-inch model.

The in-house M2 chip introduced with the MacBook Air last year is expected to be included in the 15-inch model as well. Bloomberg claims that the MacBook Air may share the 14-inch MacBook Pro’s 3024 x 1964 resolution. Apple is speculated to be updating its 24-inch iMac, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and 13-inch MacBook Air with a new M3 chip. Mashable India
