Wipro hires senior regional leaders

Wipro has bolstered its leadership team by onboarding several senior regional leaders. It has appointed Pierre Bruno as the CEO of Europe and Stephanie Trautman as the chief growth officer.

Bruno comes from DXC Technology where he was the VP and MD of Southern Europe responsible for all lines of business, including consulting, integration, apps, cloud and cyber security, besides accelerating the company’s shift to digital. He worked with Dell for 14 years in several roles.

Trautman is from Accenture where she was managing director — global strategic account lead and northeast diamond client account lead for one of Accenture’s global 150 insurance clients. She was also on Accenture’s Global Leadership Council and the Northeast Leadership team.

Wipro, in an email to employees, said the chief growth office is a new function that will enable the company achieve its accelerated growth ambition.

“This team will help Wipro win large deals, lead relationships with hyper growth partners, provide market intelligence and research through advisors and analysts, sharpen and brand and marketing focus and develop our organisation-wide sales capability,” the email said.

Earlier, Trautman led sales for Accenture’s financial services business in North America. “She (Trautman) will drive new market momentum and large deal focus, strengthen our sales capability and sharpen Wipro’s market positioning,” said Wipro CEO Thierry Delaporte in a LinkedIn post.

Delaporte said Bruno will lead end-to-end business in six countries across Europe and help Wipro transform at scale.

“Pierre and Stephanie bring a tremendous amount of experience and strategic insight to Wipro’s executive board,” he wrote.

It has also hired Graziella Neuveglise to lead Southern Europe. She’s from CGI where she was the VP-manufacturing leader for France. Some key strategic markets for Wipro include France, Italy and Spain. Rene Mulder has taken charge as managing director for Wipro Switzerland. Mulder worked with DXC previously as its Switzerland MD.

Delaporte had said the firm is hiring talent from outside and will onboard several senior regional leaders and global account executives.

Recently, Wipro appointed former Cognizant executive Tomoaki Takeuchi as managing director for Japan. Takeuchi, who previously headed the Japan operations for Cognizant, also held leadership positions at EDS, Sun Microsystems and Apple in Japan. It also appointed IT veteran and former AWS executive Douglas Silva as country head for Brazil. ToI
