Vodafone Idea Limited Expands 4G Services In Jharkhand And Bihar

Vodafone Idea Limited have announced that they will be providing free 4GB of 4G data to new Vodafone 4G customers in Jharkhand and Bihar. Idea Cellular has already been providing 4G services in the Bihar and Jharkhand circle.

In order to utilize the high-speed internet in these states, existing Vodafone customers will have to convert their current 3G SIMs to 4G SIMs. Other major telecom providers like Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio have already been providing 4G connectivity in the Bihar and Jharkhand circle and now Vodafone Idea has also joined the ranks.

It may be noted that, prior to its merger with Idea, Vodafone has been providing 2G and 3G services in Jharkhand and Bihar.

Both prepaid and postpaid Vodafone customers in the Bihar and Jharkhand will get free 4GB of 4G data once they upgrade their SIMs to the 4G network. Other key cities where Vodafone 4G has expanded their services include – Darbhanga, Patna, Bhagalpur, Ranchi, Begusarai, Jamshedpur and Bokaro. And now with the expansion of 4G in Bihar and Jharkhand Vodafone will be offering its services to 2471 towns in the circle.

Vodafone, in a press statement, stated, “Supported by a world-class high capacity fibre backhaul, the upgraded network empowers the customers with seamless data experience and connectivity at all times even in the remotest locations in Bihar & Jharkhand. This fibre is capable of supporting expected growth in data-carrying capacity due to accelerating demand for high-speed internet by growing consumer base.”
