Vodafone Idea, India’s third largest telecom operator has onboarded Shabnam Syed as executive vice president of postpaid marketing. The move comes at a time when the telecom operator is trying to retain customers to compete with rival telcos like Airtel and Reliance Jio.
Syed has over 20 years experience in Marketing Strategy, Digital Marketing & Analytics, Brand Management. Before Vodafone Idea, she served GoAir as VP- Marketing and Ecommerce.
The telecom operator has been attracted talent from various industries to lead key roles. It recently appointed Reema Jain as Chief Digital Officer and Tanuja Rai Pradhan as Head- Consumer insights, who served Reliance Jio in her previous role.
The telecom operator earlier this year appointed Jagbir Singh as the new CTO and also onboarded Vivek Jain as executive vice president of marketing, and Mathan Babu Kasilingam as executive vice president of technology security.
It also appointed Sanjay Jolly as Executive Vice President (EVP) – Technology, Hub Operations.
Vodafone Idea had been seeing a number of high-profile exits from the company, including ex-CTO Vishant Vora, former legal head Kumar Das, ex-brand officer Kavita Nair and chief technology security officer. Technology Reading
