Vivo Y95 With Halo Notch, Helio P22 Processor To Launch In India Soon With Rs. 14,990 Pricing

Vivo will soon launch the new Vivo Y95 smartphone in India at a starting price of INR 14,990.

Late last month, Vivo released a new mid-range smartphone in China, called the Vivo Y93. Now, the company is all ready to launch another mid-range device in the next few days. The phone will be the successor to the Vivo Y83, but will place itself between the Vivo Y93 and the Y97. We have heard a few reports and rumors about the Y95 before. However, a new report now claims that the phone will launch in India very soon. The report has also confirmed the pricing of this new device from Vivo.

Vivo Y95 Price in India

While we do not know the exact date for the phones launch in India, we do know its price. As mentioned earlier, a report from 91Mobiles states the pricing of the Vivo Y95 in India. The site has received information about the pricing of the phone from retailers, who confirm the it will cost INR 14,990 when launched. In this price segment, the phone will have plenty of competition.

The mid-range smartphone segment in India has been lead by Xiaomi and Honor, while Oppo and Vivo are trailing behind. It will be very difficult for Vivo to compete against phones from Xiaomi and Honor. Then there’s the newcomer Realme, which is a subsidiary of Oppo. Realme has had a great impact on the Indian smartphone market. Its devices have been selling like hot cake. The company offers a smartphone with a better package at a similar price point. The Realme 2 Pro base variant costs around the same, but comes with a better processor, larger battery, and more.

The Vivo Y95 is basically a Vivo Y83 with a smaller notch, dual-rear cameras, and more internal storage. The phone has a 6.2-inch display with a Halo notch, which will house the front 8MP camera and the other sensors. It is said to be powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, which is coupled with 4GB of RAM. For storage, the device has 64GB of internal and also comes with a microSD card slot for expansion. At the back, there’s a 13MP+5MP dual-camera setup. The smartphone will sport a 3,260mAh battery and a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.

That’s about all the new upgrades that Vivo has included in the new model. Vivo also launched the Y93 and Y97 in China recently, which are similarly spec’d as well. The Y93 users a Snapdragon chipset though, unlike the Y95.

Vivi Y Series Smartphones

The Y series smartphones from Vivo are mainly targeted at the youth. The phones come with decent hardware and cameras, all at an affordable price. Vivo brings features such as dual-cameras, Face Unlock, Beauty Mode, a large display, and others to the Y series devices  This range has been quite successful for the company in the past, but we are not sure if that streak will continue now. Like we said, there’s a lot of competition in this segment.

The Vivo Y83, which was released in India last month, has already received a price cut. Now, during the Diwali season, Vivo is offering the device at a discounted price. Apart from the Y83, the Y66 smartphone is also on sale during the festive season. You will able to purchase the Vivo Y83 for INR 13,990, whereas the Vivo Y66 is available for INR 7,990. If you can wait for the Vivo Y95, then you should, as it comes with better features at a similar price. – My Smart Price
