Vestaspace Technology to launch over 35 satellites

Space technology company, Vestaspace Technology, is preparing to launch a constellation of more than 35 satellites across India to build 5G speed network connections and IoT functionalities across industries, the company announced today.

The India-based satellite manufacturing company and space service provider, will release a beta version of the satellite constellations in September. The project is based on the company’s AI-powered novel communication architecture.

It plans to launch a fully operational constellation of satellites into a low-earth-orbit or Geosynchronous Equatorial Orbit in early 2021, it said.

The company plans to replace traditional fibre networks with these satellite constellations so as to provide high-speed 5G network connectionswith its unmanned software data processing.

“Our satellite data will provide in-depth solutions for the telecom industry and the common people. To provide 5G Internet network solutions to the urban, rural and unserved regions, we have positioned eight ground stations and 31,000 data receptors all over India. This has been made possible with the help of accurate positioning and telemetry-related activities,” said Arun Kumar Sureban, Founder & CEO, Vestaspace Technology.

Vestapace recently introduced a new solution to help users uplink and downlink data securely while browsing the Internet.

“The solutions will prevent fraud and illegitimate operations while uploading/ downloading data from satellites,” it said.

The space tech company recently secured $10 million in funding from the US-based investment firm, Next Capital LLC, to expand its operations in India and abroad. It is also collaborating with multiple space agencies, including the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), on various strategic projects.
