Twitter appoints Samiran Gupta head of public policy

Samiran Gupta has been appointed head of public policy and philanthropy of Twitter in India and South Asia. The former Public Policy Director for India and South Asia Mahima Kaul left the company after serving for five years in February 2021.

Gupta has, in the past, led the India operations at The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) for over seven years. He was also briefly the firm’s head of stakeholder engagement for the South Asia market. Gupta has a total of over 30 years of experience across multiple companies.
