TRAI extends date for telecom equipment manufacturing consultation

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had released a Consultation paper titled ‘Promoting Networking and Telecom Equipment Manufacturing in India’ on 11th February 2022 The last date of receiving comments on the issues raised in the Consultation Paper from the stakeholders was fixed as 11th March 2022 and counter comments as 25th March 2022.

Keeping In view the requests received from stakeholders for extension of time for submission of comments, as the issue requires wider consultation and opinions from experts/ analysts and their difficulties in providing their feedback by the stipulated timeline, it has been decided to extend the last date for submission of written comments and counter comments up to 1st April, 2022 and 18th April, 2022 respectively. No further request for extension would be considered.
