TIM signs expansion contract with Ministry of Labour and trade unions

TIM announces that the 2022-2024 expansion contract was signed today with trade union representatives at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies. The contract covers the parent company TIM as well as Olivetti, Noovle, Sparkle and Telecontact Center.

The expansion contract is intended to support the business transformation process and the renewal of technical-professional skills, as well as the need to ensure the presence of new professional profiles through a recruitment plan.

At the end of a discussion process, the Parties signed the contract that will last from 10 August 2022 to 29 February 2024 and provide for four pillars:

  • a training and retraining plan involving around 30,000 workers
  • reductions in working hours for about 30,000 workers in accordance with three distinct percentages (10%, 15% and 25%) depending on their organisational areas
  • an overall voluntary retirement support plan for 2,200 workers who will be 60 months short of qualifying for retirement on 30 November 2023. In addition, for those leaving the company in 2023, provision is made for a “pre-departure” reduction in working hours of up to 100%.

  • an overall hiring program for specific professional profiles compatible with the Transformation Plan, starting from the second half of 2022.
