TEC shifts selected products from GSC Scheme to SCS Scheme under MTCTE

The Telecommunication Engineering Centre of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has issued an order regarding shifting of products from General Certification Scheme (GSC) Scheme to Simplified Certification Scheme (SCS) Scheme under Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipment (MTCTE).

As per the order, approval has been conveyed for the shifting of following products:

“TEMA welcomes TEC’s decision, that will go a long way for EOD and Make in India initiatives. Now only test-wise compliance and self-declaration conformity for ER parameters will need to be filled up. Test reports will not need to be submitted and approved within 15 days of application,” said NK Goyal, Chairman TEMA and President CMAI.
