TCS shall get PO next week

Tata Consultancy Services is expected to get the purchase order from BSNL by next week. It is a Rs 26,821 crore order for 10,000 sites.

TCS has partnered with C-DoT for core network and Tejas and Altiostar for radio equipment. Tech Mahindra has tied up with Pertsol for core network and Sterlite and Altiostar for radio network.

BSNL has been given the mandate to roll out its 4G network from November, and gradually upgrade its network to 5G by August 15, 2023. The PSU plans to install 125,000 4G mobile sites over the next 18 months.
