Swiss operator Sunrise has appointed Uwe Schiller, Senior Vice President Finance and Investor Relations, as the new CFO. Schiller succeeds Andre Krause, who became CEO on 03 January following the departure of Olaf Swantee. Sunrise also announced that Bruno Duarte, Chief Consumer Officer, will leave the company.
Schiller has worked for Sunrise for the past 20 years. He held management positions in networks before joining the finance department in 2003, playing a key role in a number of projects, including the company’s IPO in 2015 and the subsequent sale of its tower assets. Prior to joining Sunrise, Schiller worked for Philips Semiconductors as an engineer. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Sheffield Hallam University.
Duarte joined Sunrise in May 2017. He previously held senior positions in international telecommunications companies such as EE, Orange UK and Hutchinson.―Telecompaper
