Shailendra Mishra nominated chairman of new ITU focus group

Shailendra Mishra has been nominated as the chairman of a new ITU focus group to study affordable cost models for data services.

“I am happy to report a major win for Indian delegation at the ITU-T study group 3 where Indian proposal for setting up a new focus group to study affordable cost models for data services was approved today after hectic discussions over last two weeks and overcoming initial opposition from countries like USA and Australia. The original proposal for the focus group was submitted by IAFI last year. Congratulations to Shailendra Mishra Advisor Finance DOT who was unanimously nominated as the first chairman of the focus,” said President of ITU-APT Foundation of India Bharat B Bhatia.
