Sandeep Govil set to take over as new BSNL Director

Sandeep Govil is expected to take over as the next Director (Consumer Mobility) of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) as he has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection (PESB).

Currently posted as Chief General Manager (Rajasthan) in the BSNL, Govil is an Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS) officer of the 1986-batch.

The PESB selection panel had interviewed 10 candidates for the post out of which seven candidates were from BSNL and one each from MTNL Limited, RITES Limited and ITS services.

Govil will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) as Director (Consumer Mobility). He will be responsible for planning and developing the mobile network of the BSNL.
