Samsung highway opens near foundry construction site in Texas

Samsung Electronics president Kyung Kye-hyun recently visited the company’s foundry plant construction site in Taylor, Texas. He said that the plant would be completed this year and production there would start next year.

During his visit, Kyung and Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell posed for a picture with a Samsung Highway road sign after looking around the construction site. Last month, Williamson County officially announced that the new road to the site would be called Samsung Highway.

The foundry plant under construction in Taylor is planned to be put into operation in the second half of 2024. Samsung Electronics is investing US$17 billion at the site with an area of five million square meters. BusinessKorea
