Samsung Galaxy A80 May Launch In India This Week

After arriving in Thailand last month, Samsung Galaxy A80 is reportedly all set to launch in India this week. The company is purportedly holding exclusive previews of the Galaxy A80 in various cities of the country in the coming days. According to a report by Sammobile, the South Korean giant will also put the phone on display and allow the public to use it. The preview events will be taken place in five cities namely Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Kolkata on June 8 and 9, 2019.

The report suggests that the interested buyers will be able to test and use the Galaxy A80 on Saturday i.e June 8 in Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad and on June 9 in Kolkata and Bangalore. The event will start at 6:00 pm in cities on their respective dates.

All the users who wish to test the upcoming Galaxy A80 will be required to register their name via the Samsung Members app. All the details pertaining to the exclusive previews of the Galaxy A80 will reportedly be shared via the app soon. Soon after the previews, the company will reportedly launch the phone in the country. Though there hasn’t been any official confirmation from the company regarding the Galaxy A80 India launch, there are high chances for it to arrive in the markets this month since the Galaxy A70 has already debuted in the markets.

Samsung Galaxy A80 price in India

Ranjivjit Singh, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President, Samsung India, told IANS in April that the Samsung Galaxy A80 will be launched in the “Rs 45,000-Rs 50,000 bracket in May.” Therefore, there are high chances for the phone to arrive under Rs. 50,000 in India.

Samsung Galaxy A80 specifications

The Galaxy A80 features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED, New Infinity Display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7150 octa-core chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For optics, the Galaxy A80 gets a 48-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel secondary rear ultrawide sensor with f/2.2 aperture value with Time of Flight sensor. The Galaxy A80 also gets a unique pop-up rotating camera.

Additionally, Samsung Galaxy A80 features an in-display fingerprint scanner and 3700mAh battery capacity with Super Fast Charging support. It comes in Phantom Black, Angel Gold, and Ghost White colour options.―Times Now
