Samsung Galaxy A40 With Dual Rear Cameras, Android Pie Launched

Samsung has launched its latest smartphone in the A series. The company has launched the Galaxy A40 smartphone in Europe. The smartphone comes in Black, Blue, White and Orange color options and is priced at 249 Euros which translates into Rs 19,520. The smartphone is expected to go on sale starting April 10. Samsung has not yet revealed any information about the global roll out of the smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy A40 specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A40 features a 3D Glasstic back same as the Galaxy A30 and A50 smartphones. The handset features a 5.9-inch full HD+ Infinity U Super AMOLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio and 1080×2280 pixel resolution. The device is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7885 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone packs 64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 512GB by adding a microSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy A40 runs Android 9.0 Pie operating system topped with the company’s own layer of customization Samsung One UI. The device comes dual SIM functionality and dual rear camera setup. The smartphone sports a 16MP main sensor with LED flash and a 5MP secondary ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture. The front of the device is home to 25MP camera for selfies. The device houses a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and measures 144.3 x 69.1 x 7.9mm.

The Samsung Galaxy A40 packs a 3,100 mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and USB Type C as connectivity options.

Earlier Samsung also launched another A series smartphone — Galaxy A20. The smartphone comes under the budget segment and is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7885 processor. The device comes with dual rear camera setup and runs Android 9.0 Pie operating system.―Gadgets Now
