Reliance Jio Signs MoU Worth Rs 626 Crore With HP Govt.

The Reliance Jio on Saturday signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth Rs 626 crore to be invested in Himachal for the creation of an infrastructure in Himachal Pradesh.

The MoU was signed by Department of Information and Technology Managing Director Rohan Chand Thakur on behalf of the state government and Himachal Jio Chief Operating Officer Atul Kansal was the signatory on behalf of M/s Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd for the Himachal Pradesh Digitalization project.

The infrastructure to be set up includes Fiber to Home to connect 1.7 lakh homes and enterprise with minimum investment of Rs 96 crore and direct employment to more than 150 people, setting up of 1500 4G sites with investment of Rs 370 crore and direct employment to more than 150 people, 1000 km Optical Fibre Cable rollout in the state with an investment of Rs 160 crore and direct employment to more than 50 people.―The Statesman
