Reliance Jio Expected To Launch GigaFiber Service By Year-End

After successfully establishing its footprints in the telecommunication industry, Jio is getting ready to shake the broadband industry with its GigaFiber technology, making everyone excited about the upcoming service.

Jio is expected to launch GigaFiber broadband service in a similar fashion of that Jio’s commercial launch.

The Gigafiber is expected to create a jolt to the broadband industry in the same way it did to the telecom sector in 2016 with its unique pricing for the subscription.

JioGigafiber is a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband service from Reliance Jio-owned by billionaire Mukesh Ambani.

1. Jio coming with GigaFibre boardband service

After shaking the Telecom industry, Jio is now coming with its GigaFibre technology to shake the broadband industry and offer high-speed internet direct to homes.

It will provide fibre connectivity to homes, shops and offices with the best of fibre-based broadband service offering speeds between 100Mbps and 1Gbps.

2. Jio gigafiber service to be available free to customers

According to Reliance, the services will be available for free without any charge but the customer has to pay a security deposit of Rs 4,500 for the router. Under the offer, customers will get to use 100GB of data per month at a speed of 100Mbps.

3. Jio GigaFiber service currently available under preview offer

At present, Jio GigaFiber service is available under the preview offer and one can use the services for free until commercial services roll-out, by depositing Rs. 4500 for the router.

It will offer validity for a month and access to 100GB data allowance. Even though the pricing of the plan is not available, the plan is expected to offer an additional 1000GB data split in coupons of 40GB that can be redeemed if one runs of data allowance.

4. Jio GigaFibre service to be available by year-end

According to reports, the testing on GigaFiber is almost done and expected to roll-out by the year-end. The company is planning to roll-out the GigaFiber services under the Triple Play Plan, as the name suggests, will be a combination of subscription to Jio’s three upcoming services — DTH, broadband, and a landline connection.―DNA India
