Norway Plans June Auction For 700 MHz, 2.1 GHz Bands

The Norwegian regulator Nkom has issued an indicative timetable for the auction of the 700 MHz and 2.1 GHz bands for mobile services, saying it expects the bidding to start in the first of week of June. The exact format of the auction still needs to be determined, while the conditions of the licence were already set last year.

Nkom said it expects to issue the auction rules in the first week of April, and the deadline for registering for the auction will be in early May.―Telecompaper
