Dr AK Mohanty took over as Director, BARC from KN Vyas, Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission and Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Atomic Energy. Previously, he was Scientist and Director, Physics Group of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) and Director, Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata.

CB Bhave has been appointed as independent director of Tejas Networks. Arnob Roy, who has been with the company since inception and served as president, optical products, has now been designated as the chief operating officer of the company.

Sterlite Tech has revamped its leadership by making four new appointments. Jitendra Balakrishnan has been appointed as chief technology officer for optical communications; Ambica Rajagopal has been appointed as head of data science; Anjali Byce has been appointed as chief human resource officer; and Manuj Desai has been appointed as the head of technology transformation.

Bi Yunfeng has been appointed as chief executive officer, R&D center of Huawei. He succeeds William Zhao, who has taken up a leadership role in Huawei`s consumer business group in Shenzhen, China.

In accordance with Huawei’s rotating chairman system, Ken Hu will assume the position of rotating and acting chairman of Huawei. During his term, he will serve in the company’s top leadership position, and head the board of directors and its executive committee.

Christopher Stratas has been appointed as executive vice president of R&M for its North American business. He replaces Markus Huber, who will return to Switzerland where he will take over a new management function at R&M headquarters.

Jacqueline E. Yeaney has been appointed as an independent member to board of directors of Avaya Holdings Corporation. She served as the senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Ellucian, a position she has held since January 2017.

Juniper Networks has appointed Anne DelSanto to its board of directors. She currently serves as the EVP and general manager of Salesforce Platform, home to industry-leading platform services.

The supervisory board of Infineon Technologies AG has appointed Dr Sven Schneider to become the CFO. Dr Schneider is moving to Infineon from Linde AG, where he is currently board spokesman, CFO, and labor director. He succeeds Dominik Asam, who will be moving to Airbus SE.

Janice Roberts joins the Netgear’s board of directors. Currently a partner at Benhamou Global Ventures LLC, Roberts serves on the board of directors for Zebra Technologies Corporation, Zynga Inc., and RealNetworks Inc.

George F. Holland has been appointed as vice president and general manager of Ciena Government Solutions, Inc. Most recently, George was vice president of the national security group at Juniper Networks.

Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise has appointed Rukmini Glanard as executive vice president global sales and marketing, and Matthieu Destot as chief operating officer (COO).

Dr Alison Vincent has been appointed as non-executive director of Telesoft Technologies. She recently held the position of group chief information security officer at HSBC.

Resigned

Rajan Anandan, vice president, SEA and India at Google has quit to join venture capital firm Sequoia India as an investment advisor and mentor. Rajan Anadan makes way for Vikas Agnihotri, country director – sales, to man the helm.
