PD Vaghela has been appointed as chairman of the TRAI. He succeeds RS Sharma. A 1986 batch Indian Administrative Service officer, Vaghela was previously commissioner of commercial tax in Gujarat and played a crucial role in the rollout of the goods and services tax in 2017. More recently, he was chairman of the Empowered Group-3, which was responsible for production, procurement, import, and distribution channels of medical gear, including PPEs, masks, and ventilators amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Rajeev Srivastava has been appointed as director-finance, ITI Limited. Srivastava had joined ITI as general manager on 17 December 2018. He holds the membership of the Institute of Cost and Management Accounts of India and over 29 years of industry experience.

Rajinder Singh has been appointed as interim CTO, Vodafone Idea Limited. Singh currently serves as executive vice president of technology. He succeeds Vishant Vora, who has decided to return home to the US.

Bimal Dayal has been appointed as managing director of Bharti Infratel, till the effective date of amalgamation between Indus Towers Limited and the company. Dayal is currently the MD and CEO of Indus Towers.

Satish Dhanasekaran has been appointed as CEO, Keysight Technologies. Dhanasekaran has been president of Keysight’s Communications Solutions Group, since 2017. He succeeds Jay Alexander.

Mihir Modi has been appointed as chief financial officer, Sterlite Technologies. He succeeds Anupam Jindal. Modi has over 20 years of career spanning finance, M&A, strategy, and general management, across large-scale listed companies and early-stage start-ups in India, Europe, and Africa.

NetApp has appointed Ganesan Arumugam as director of channels and Siddharth Nalawade as enterprise head, NetApp India and Saarc. Arumugam joins NetApp with leadership expertise and proficiency in sales and marketing within the IT industry. Nalawade has built an expertise in the storage and converged infrastructure space with his 10-year stint at Dell EMC.

Accenture has elevated Bhaskar Ghosh as the chief strategy officer. Ghosh most recently served as advisor to Julie Sweet, Accenture’s CEO, on critical areas including growth and investment strategy, business performance, organizational effectiveness, and restructuring.

Arun Singh has been appointed as CEO, Ilantus Technologies. Singh is joining Ilantus from EY where he was principal and Americas advisory risk leader for cybersecurity.

Sunil Abraham has been appointed as public policy, director for data and emerging tech, Facebook India. A former data protection activist, Abraham has almost 25 years of experience in Indian and global civil societies.

Marie Myers has been appointed as chief financial officer, HP Inc. She succeeds Steve Fieler. As chief transformation officer, Myers currently leads the company’s IT and transformation organization.

Stephen Spears has been appointed as chief revenue officer of Avaya. Spears brings 30 years of experience to the new role having spent 17 years in a variety of senior leadership roles at SAP, most recently as CRO of SAP SuccessFactors.

Ciena has appointed Pete Hall as its head of Middle East and Africa and subsea sales in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Hall enters the role with more than 20 years of sales, business development, and international telecoms experience. He previously served as a key member of Orixcom’s management team, where he drove telecoms, network and cloud sales, marketing, and strategy.

Kabir Ahmed Shakir has been appointed as chief financial officer, Tata Communications. Prior to this, he was CFO, Microsoft India.

Ralph Mupita has been appointed as group president and CEO of MTN Group. Prior to joining MTN Group, Mupita was the CEO of Old Mutual Emerging Markets.

Carl Pei, the co-founder of Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus, after a seven-year stint has left the company.
