MFS Africa acquires US-based Global Technology Partners

MFS Africa, Africa’s largest digital payments network, has announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Global Technology Partners (GTP), making one of the few acquisitions of a technology company. American by an African company.

This new acquisition will allow MFS Africa to strengthen its offer to the African gig economy, the business travel market and the millions of people who want to take advantage of global e-commerce using a card linked to a mobile money wallet – rather than a bank account – for smooth and secure online shopping. It also expands MFS Africa’s bank and fintech customer base and bridges mobile money users with the most renowned card payment networks such as Visa and Mastercard.
