Shiva Kirti Singh has been appointed as chairman of the Telecom Disputes Settlement & Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT). He succeeds Aftab Alam.

Renuka Ramnath has been appointed as the chairperson of Tata Communications Board. She succeeds Subodh Bhargava.

Ravi Venkatesan, independent director, has been appointed as co-chairman of Infosys.

Nipun Mehrotra has been appointed as chief digital officer (CDO) for India/South Asia, IBM, and the business head of the newly formed Digital Business Group (DBG).

Amit Boni has been appointed as vice president, sales and marketing, Smartron. He was previously serving Motorola as the India head.

Anup Uppadhayay has been appointed as business delivery head for enterprise technology services of VirtusaPolaris. Prior to taking up the new role, Uppadhayay was serving Infosys Ltd. as its executive vice-president and global head for strategic sales program.

Vivek Sharma has been appointed as the director of data center group (DCG), Lenovo. He reports to Sumir Bhatia, vice president, data centre group, Asia-Pacific, Lenovo.

Nitin Pandita has been appointed as business head of Fox Mobiles in India.

Deepesh Gupta has been appointed as CEO of Zen Mobile. He has been closely involved with the company since its inception as a co-founder.

Sandeep Dhar has been appointed as chief operations officer-business services of Capgemini. He was the former CEO of TESCO Hindustan Service Centre.

Arun Bansal has been appointed as senior vice president for Europe & Latin America market and head of Business Unit-Radio at Ericsson. Prior to this, he was president, Ericsson-South East Asia and Oceania.

Nunzio Mirtillo has been appointed as head of market area, South East Asia, Oceania and India of Ericsson. In this role, Mirtillo has responsibility for Ericsson’s business across markets such as India, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Philippines, and Bangladesh. As part of his appointment, he now becomes a member of Ericsson’s executive team.

Pete Peterson has been appointed as global channel strategy leader at Xerox. Peterson joins Xerox from TESSCO Technologies where he led the sales organization.

Andrew Sinclair, previously of the Skype division of Microsoft, joins Motorola Solutions as the company’s first-ever head of software.

PROMOTED

Marco Landi, Polycom President, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) has been promoted to an expanded role of leading the company’s operations in Asia-Pacific (APAC).

Rajiv Srivastava has been elevated to the newly created regional position of chief operating officer and head of sales strategy and operations for HP’s Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Japan operations. Sumeer Chandra will replace Srivastava as managing director and general manager of HP India.

ELECTED

Raman Roy, chairman and managing director of Quatrro, has been appointed as chairman of National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) for 2017-18. He will take over from CP Gurnani, managing director and chief executive officer of Tech Mahindra. Rishad Premji, chief strategy officer and member of the board, Wipro Limited, has been elected as vice chairman.

RESIGNED

Puneet Gupta has resigned as managing director, enterprise & public sector sales of Cisco India & SAARC. Nal Gollagunta, managing director, commercial sales at Cisco, is the most likely candidate to take over Gupta’s role.
