Manish Sansi appointed chief legal officer, Voda Idea as Kumar Das resigns

Manish Sansi has been appointed as Chief Legal Officer, Voda Idea. In his most recent assignment, Sansi was General Counsel India, Company Secretary at Tata Communications since March 2015. Sansi had been with Vodafone India for two years earlier from January 2005 to January 2008.

Sansi has been associated with the telecom industry since 2005, having worked as DGM Legal Secretarial, Indus Towers Limited (Jan 2008-May 2009). He has continued to be Vice President-Legal & Secretarial, Uninor (Telenor group-Norway) since May 2009.

He replaces Kumar Das who has recently resigned. As the merger was completed in August 2018, Das had joined Voda Idea as chief legal officer. Prior to this landmark deal, Kumar Das was general counsel for Vodafone’s Indian subsidiary for eight years. Prior to that, Das had highly successful in-house spells at Hindustan Unilever and Nokia Group.
