LG V40 ThinQ Announced In India

LG’s V40 ThinQ has been officially launched in India with triple rear camera, dual front sensors and an OLED display. The flagship smartphone will be on sale through Amazon India for an asking price of Rs 49,990. The device will be bundled with No-cost EMI options, Rs 5000 on exchange and a free screen replacement offer.

The LG V40 ThinQ features a 6.4-inch (3120 x 1440 pixels) FullVision OLED display. There’s an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 with 537 ppi of pixel density. It packs a Snapdragon 845 processor with Adreno 630 GPU which is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The LG V40 ThinQ comes equipped with five cameras in total with three on the rear and two on the front. The rear setup comes with a combination of 12-megapixel with f/1.5 aperture and Optical Image Stabilisation, 16-megapixel super wide camera with f/1.9 aperture and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture. That third lens enables 2x optical zoom. The dual front camera has an 8-megapixel primary camera with f/1.9 aperture and a secondary 5-megapixel wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture.

There’s also a 3,300 mAh battery packed inside with Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 support and USB-C. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with LG UX and is expected to get an update to Android 9.0 Pie in the second quarter of 2019. The LG V40 ThinQ also features an IP 68 rating and MIL-STD-810G certification. There’s also a fingerprint sensor on the rear, face unlock, a dedicated Google Assistant button.

The device is integrated with Boombox Speaker technology to boost its low-frequency output. It has a 3.5 mm jack with 32-bit Quad DAC support. Connectivity options on the LG V40 ThinQ include a 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C 2.0 (3.1 compatible), FM radio and 3.5mm audio jack. Dimensions are 158.7 x 75.8 x 7.7mm and its weight is 169 grams.
