South Korean tech giant LG has launched its latest Smart Display. Named LG Xboom AI ThinQ, model WK9 will be available in US. The company showcased the product for the first time at IFA 2018. The company claims that the smart display offers good sound quality and is enabled with Google Assistant.
The company has developed the smart display in association with Google and Meridian Audio. The device comes equipped with a front-facing camera for video conferencing and stereo 20W speakers. The device sports an 8-inch touch display and runs Android Things.
Seo Young-Jae, head of the convergence audio and video business division at LG’s Home Entertainment Company Android Things, said, “Our partnerships with Google and Meridian Audio allows us to offer a new home entertainment experience with the smart capabilities of the Google Assistant and the premium audio know-how that only Meridian could deliver.
