As Anil Kumar Lahoti took charge as chairman, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), he said his top priority is to ensure quality of services, curb call drops and a level playing field to facilitate the telecom sector’s overall growth.
“The telecom sector has new challenges from a regulatory standpoint. So, we have to keep pace. The New Telecom Act is in place. We have to align with it and see that it is properly implemented,” he said.
He met with Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Communications, Electronics & Information Technology, and Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, and TRAI officials.
