KS Rao CEO, Network Software and Services Business at STL has put in his papers.
Speaking to Communications Today, Rao said he is taking a break after 30 years of working, and has not yet decided his path ahead.
Rao joined Sterlite Tech in 1993 to set up the company’s optical-fibre cable plant in Aurangabad and soon became instrumental in growing its fibre, cables, services and business operations in India, China and Brazil including R&D centres. He has led the company’s programmes to drive digital inclusion in India, by building robust network infrastructure for Telcos, Defence, BharatNet and Smart Cities. At the same time, has made serious inroads into organic and inorganic ways in expanding Network Services to International markets. Also spearheaded STL’s foray into disruptive software technology solutions in the areas of cloud native BSS, network management and wireless solutions including investing in newer end-to-end solutions for Data Centre and Enterprise IoT segments.
