IT firm Niveus Solutions to expand into Southeast Asia

Niveus Solutions is expanding to Southeast Asia, starting with operations in Singapore and followed by Indonesia.

“After this, we will look at other countries like Vietnam and Malaysia, but that would be later this year,” said Suyog Shetty, chief executive officer of the Udupi-headquartered IT services firm. According to Niveus, its international operations are expected to contribute 5-10% to overall revenue in 2021.

The company also intends to increase its presence in other Indian cities, namely Mangalore, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai, and will soon begin hiring across multiple locations.

“2020 has been a remarkable year for us. We have grown from a team of 70-odd people to about 200 today thanks to the increased demand for cloud engineering solutions. Our client base and business in India has also grown by around 100%,” Shetty said.

Niveus was set up in 2013 with an aim to tap into the local talent from engineering colleges in the region. The company started working with small and medium enterprises but a few years ago took a strategic decision to focus on larger enterprise customers and partnered with Google Cloud to help enterprises with their digital transformation journeys.

The company is now a ‘Premier’ partner for Google Cloud in India and works with several large firms including TVS, Firstsource and, among others.

“At Google Cloud, we are committed to help enterprises of all sizes solve some of their most complex technology and business challenges,” Amitabh Jacob, head of cloud partners and alliances at Google Cloud India, said. “Now more than ever, businesses need to adopt a cloud first approach. We are delighted to deepen our partnership with Niveus to support these customers.” News of India
