Israel’s Partner Communications Q3 profit, revenue rise

Israeli telecoms group Partner Communications said on Wednesday that its profit more than doubled in the third quarter, boosted by gains in its cellular and fixed-line services.

Partner, Israel’s second-largest mobile operator, said it earned 51 million shekels ($15 million) in the July-September period, compared with 24 million shekels a year earlier.

Revenue rose 6% to 891 million shekels, helped by subscriber growth in its cellular and fibre optics segments, as well as increased demand for its cellular roaming services.

Its mobile subscriber base increased 1% to 3.04 million for a market share of 27%. The number of fibre-optics subscribers rose to 268,000, while it had 403,000 internet customers and 222,000 subscribers to its TV service. Reuters
