The ongoing pandemic has urged Indian enterprises to increase investments in next-generation wireless technologies. According to Deloitte’s ‘Global Advanced Wireless Survey – India edition’, next-gen wireless technologies, such as 5G and Wi-Fi 6, will improve service levels such as security, scalability, and reliability/resilience and will lead to business success. It reveals that 71 percent Indian companies are already planning to invest more on wireless networking after the pandemic.

The survey highlights that India ranks second only to Japan amongst the countries surveyed in terms of the investment planned on wireless networking. The increased investment is going towards customer engagement through digital platforms (57%), improved bandwidth requirements for remote workers (61%), and enhanced remote monitoring of machines (50%).
