“In the history of Indian telecom, today’s date will be written in golden letters. Telecom is the gateway, the foundation of Digital India, the medium that bring digital services to every citizen. The telecom sector has been declared a strategic sector by the PM, and following regulatory reforms, simplification of procedures, the sector has emerged as a sunrise sector. India is poised to emerge as a leader in 5G technology.

PM’s strategy of the Rs 35,000 crore sanction to take 5G to the last mile, insisting that optical fibre cable reaches every Indian home, declaring BSNL as a stabilising market force and allocating a Rs 165,000 crore revival package for the PSU and pushing for end-to-end indigenous technology for 4G and 5G is paving the way for India to soon emerge as a leader in 5G technology.”
