Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 launch in India has been confirmed for August 1 by an Amazon India listing. The smartphone is already available in some overseas markets and comes with a pop-up front camera. It is expected to be a mid-range smartphone and will take on the Realme X, the Redmi K20 and the Oppo K3 in the Indian market. The Huawei Y9 Prime also features a full-HD+ display and is powered by Huawei’s octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710F SoC. The Amazon listing of the smartphone also confirms some of the features of the device that was unveiled globally back in May.

Huawei Y9 Prime 2019: Expected price in India

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 price in India will be announced at the launch event. In Kenya, the smartphone sells at KSH 23,499 (roughly Rs. 15,600) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration. In Saudi Arabia, it is available at SAR 969 (roughly Rs 17,800). The Indian price is expected to be around the same mark. The phone comes in three colour options: Midnight Black, Emerald Green, and Sapphire Blue.

Huawei Y9 Prime 2019: Specifications and features 

The smartphone is an upgrade on the Huawei Y9 (2019) that was launched in India earlier this year and as mentioned above, features a 6.59-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) LCD panel with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the octa-core Kirin 710F SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.0 on top.

As per the Amazon listing, the phone would come with a 16MP pop-up selfie camera module along with an AI-enabled rear camera. At the back, the phone sports a triple rear camera that comes with 16-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor. The smartphone comes in two storage options – 64GB and 128GB – both expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB). The phone also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and packs a 4,000mAh battery.―Zee Business
