HFCL bags telecom contract of Kanpur and Agra Metro Rail projects

The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Limited Corporation (UPMRCL) give the system contract package to HFCL Limited for the supply of telecommunications systems for Kanpur and Agra Metro Rail Projects.

Based on the technical and financial evaluation of offers submitted on 15th December 2020 and as per terms and conditions of the tender KNPAGS-01, the tender has been awarded to M/S HFCL Limited on 08th March 2021 says by UPMRCL.

The work includes design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of fibre optic transmission system, Telephone System, passenger information, CCTV System, DLP maintenance and the training of operation and maintenance personnel for these systems for Kanpur Metro projects of UPMRCL. The Contractor has to completed the work in 36 months.

The tender for the above work was notified in September 2020 with an estimated cost of Rs. 215 Crore. Technical bids were opened in December 2020 where UPMRCL unveiled the names of four bidders viz. HFCL Limited, KEC International Ltd, Larsen and Toubro Ltd and Siemens Ltd. Urban Transport News
