HFCL Bags Order From Jharkhand Communication Network

The Himachal Futuristic Communication has bagged order worth Rs 527.44 crore from the Jharkhand Communication Network (JCNL) for implementing BharatNet Phase-II in the state of Jharkhand.

The work order has been given for survey, planning, supply, installation, end-to-end integration, testing and commissioning of optical fibre cable (OFC — underground and aerial), GPON network and radio network at 1,684 gram panchayats of Jharkhand.

The scope of work under the above work order also includes operation and maintenance (O&M) for a period of four years, including one year warranty period and facilitating services provisioning of the created network in Jharkhand under BharatNet Phase-II programme of the government of India.

JCNL will issue a separate work order worth Rs 92.52 crore for additional four years of O&M before expiry of this work order. The order worth Rs 527.44 crore includes Rs 217.70 crore for supply of material, Rs 240.35 crore for supply of services and Rs 69.39 crore for three years O&M aggregating to Rs 527.44 crore.

After fifth year, separate work order of Rs 92.52 crore will be issued by JCNL for O&M for the remaining four years.―Projects Today
