Globe extends free calls, data to customers In Sri Lanka

Globe is providing free calls, texts, and data to customers in Sri Lanka amid escalating tensions in light of an economic crisis in the South Asian country.

Filipinos using Globe’s roaming services will get free access to 15 minutes of calls, 15 texts and 1 GB of data valid for 7 days to reach their loved ones back home.

“We are closely monitoring the events unfolding in Sri Lanka and are providing free connectivity to Filipinos there to ensure they are able to reach their families and friends during this challenging time,” said Coco Domingo, Globe VP for Postpaid and International Business.

Customers will be able to avail of this free service by latching on to Globe’s partners Hutchison and Dialog.

There is no registration needed as the goodwill offer will be automatically seeded to customers detected in Sri Lanka. A confirmation message will be sent to customers advising them that the free roaming offer is ready for use.
