Fire breaks out near MTNL office in Delhi’s Damodar Park

A massive fire broke out in a factory near the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) office in Damodar Park, Dilshad Garden Industrial Area of the national capital. 25 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to contain the blaze.

Initially, 15 fire tenders were deployed at the spot. Shortly later, more fire tenders were rushed in. “25 fire tenders have been deployed at the factory near MTNL office in Dilshad Garden Industrial Area where a fire broke out. Fire fighting operation,” news agency ANI reported at about 10.15 am.

Meanwhile, no casualties were reported at the site till Thursday afternoon, even as two staff members of the fire department had suffered minor injuries.

“More than 100 staff are deployed here in the fire fighting operation. Fire will be brought under control soon. No casualties reported but two of our staff have sustained minor injuries. The situation is under control,” said Dr Sanjay Tomar, Deputy Chief, Delhi Fire Service. Times Now News
