E-Gaming Federation appoints Dr. Aruna Sharma and Mr. Satish Mathur

E-Gaming Federation (EGF), an organization representing online gaming operators in India, has recently appointed Dr. Aruna Sharma, (former Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and IT Government of India and a development economist,) and Mr. Satish Mathur, (former Director General of Police of Maharashtra) on its advisory panel.

In their roles, the senior professionals will advise EGF on responsible gaming, global best practices for player protection, and bringing about regulatory clarity in the E-Gaming Industry. This move comes as part of EGFs efforts to build a safe, responsible, fair, and transparent environment in which the players can enjoy gaming responsibly whilst helping the industry to grow in a sustainable way.

Mr. Mathur’s input will be valuable to curb online fraud and keeping the online gaming ecosystem secure, thanks to his veritable experience in handling cybercrime. His security expertise and experience as a law enforcer will help EGF form a robust security framework and a sturdier code of conduct. Dr. Sharma’s deep-rooted insights and expertise in formulating policies will be significant for EGF in developing robust policy frameworks and combating challenges in the online gaming space.
