e& announces stake increase in Vodafone Group plc

We would like to inform you that on the 17 January 2023, Emirates Telecommunications Group Company PJSC (“e&”), has increased its stake in Vodafone Group plc (“Vodafone”) to aggregate 3,272.3 million shares, representing 12.0% of Vodafone’s issued share capital (excluding treasury shares).

Executed at what we believe is an attractive valuation, the investment rationale is unchanged from our announcement on the 14th of May 2022, specifically to obtain significant exposure to a global leader, and leverage potential commercial partnership and realise future return on our investment.
