DoT issues spectrum payment demand notices to Jio, Airtel, VIL, and Adani

Director Wireless Planning & Finance, DoT has issued a demand note to the successful bidders of 5G auction held recently.

Adani Data Networks
The total value to be paid (excl GST) : Rs. 211. 8636993 crore.
Option 1: Pay full amount or part upfront payment (which can be a multiple of complete years with a minimum of two years).

Option 2: Payment in 20 equal annual instalments of the bid amount, first instalment being Rs. 18.9462303 crore.

Bharti Airtel Limited
Option 1: Full payment of Rs. 43039.6343131 crore or part upfront payment (which can be a multiple of complete years with a minimum of two years).

Option 2: Payment in 20 equal annual instalments of the bid amount, first instalment being Rs. 3848.8841159 crore. (38,48,88,41,159/-)

Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited
Option 1: Full payment of Rs. 87946.9376666 crore or part upfront payment (which can be a multiple of complete years with a minimum of two years).

Option 2: Payment in 20 equal annual instalments of the bid amount, first instalment being Rs. 7864.7873492 crore.

Vodafone India Limited
Option 1: Full payment of Rs. 18786.2519989 crore or part upfront payment (which can be a multiple of complete years with a minimum of two years).

Option 2: Payment in 20 equal annual instalments of the bid amount, first instalment being Rs. 1679.9888770 crore.

All the four bidders were directed, “in the frequency range 25.5 – 27 GHz, a keep out zone of 2.7 km radius may need to be provided from a location to be specified in future in Gujarat and in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Accordingly, the concerned assignee of spectrum as mentioned above may be required to relocate their transmitters as necessary, for which a pro-rata reduction in the total payment liability will be allowed w.e.f. date of such exclusion or date of relocation of transmitters, whichever is later.”
