DoT allocates numbering level for basic services to Reliance Jio

Telecom service provider Reliance Jio yesterday received the approval from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for the allocation of a numbering level for providing Basic services. The numbering level allocated to Reliance Jio is for Rudrapur SDCA in Uttar Pradesh (West) LSA.

DoT said in an official circular, “In consideration to the request of M/s RJIL for allocation of numbering level for wireline services for Rudrapur SDCA in UP West LSA, it is decided to allocate level ’31’ to M/s RJIL for its Basic Services for Rudrapur SDCA in UP West LSA.”

The allotment came along with allocation of 1 million MSC codes to Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited for providing mobile services in Uttar Pradesh (East) LSA. CT Bureau
