DIPA lauds Modi’s third term, urges vision for digital infrastructure dominance

The telecom industry in India is rejoicing over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic third consecutive term, lauding the significant reforms undertaken during his previous tenure and expressing optimism about the country’s digital future.

Tilak Raj Dua, Director General of DIPA (Digital Infrastructure Providers Association), congratulated PM Modi on his electoral victory, stating, “The telecom industry in India has undergone transformative reforms under Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership over the past few years. With his re-election, we are confident that the new government will build upon this momentum, ensuring the seamless implementation and sustained success of these landmark initiatives.”

The industry believes that Modi’s re-election promises stability, consistency, and effectiveness in governance, propelling India closer to realizing its ‘Vision India@2047’ goals, which envision the country as a global leader in digital infrastructure.

“India is witnessing an era of digital transformation, and we are now on the verge of becoming a truly digital nation,” Dua remarked. “Revolutionary policies like Digital India, Gati Shakti, and PM WiFi Access Network have enabled widespread adoption of digital infrastructure, empowering individuals and businesses across sectors, from small vegetable vendors to grocery stores.”

As the new government takes charge, the telecom industry seeks a clear vision and roadmap to cement India’s position as a global leader in digital infrastructure. Industry representatives are eager to collaborate with the government and contribute their expertise to drive the country’s digital transformation further.
